Holy crap. I don't know how, but I managed to snag a used Canon EOS-1V on eBay for less than $300. For those of you who don't know, the 1V is Canon's most recent/expensive/advanced/badass 35mm SLR. It retails for $2,000 I think...or maybe $1,600..hmm. It's something ridiculous like that. Even used the 1V is usually upwards of $700. I don't get it. It's kind of scary actually 'cause the seller wasn't even a sketch. He's a power seller with almost 100% positive feedback. Only 2 negative feedback, one was because of slow shipping I think and the other was because the guy sent the wrong cable or something. Not only was the price by far the lowest on eBay, it was also a Buy It Now. How was I able to snag it? This makes no sense! I thought for sure there must be something wrong with the camera, but so far, nothing. I don't have a lens for it yet, but all of the buttons and dials seem to be working as well as the shutter. I'm going to try to borrow an EF lens from my school tomorrow and shoot a test roll to make sure everything else is working right.
